Summary

BrainPip is made by Technamah LLP, India, which is responsible for your personal data (the "data fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). We collect what we need to run your training, keep your progress, and improve the app. We don't sell your data. You can download or delete your data at any time from Settings → Privacy and data.

What we collect

Account: your name, email address and sign-in method (email, Apple or Google).

Profile: your age range, the skills you picked, and optional survey answers (the focus question and how you heard about us).

Training: your game results, levels, skill scores, streaks, lessons, saved words, favorites and settings.

Challenge: if you join, the name you show on the rank board and your points.

Invites: the invite code in your invite link, and who joined with it.

Support: messages and screenshots you send us.

Device and usage: app version, device model, operating system, time zone, language, crash reports and anonymous usage events. Push notification tokens if you allow notifications.

Ads (free plan only): Google AdMob receives your device's advertising ID (on iPhone, only if you allow tracking), your approximate location from your IP address, and how you interact with ads.

Purchases: whether you have BrainPip Plus and its renewal status, from Apple or Google through our payments provider. We never see your card details.

How we use it

To run BrainPip: create your account, plan your daily workout, score your games, keep your streak, and show your progress.

To run the monthly challenge and give prizes.

To send the emails and notifications you asked for, such as sign-in codes, reminders and weekly reports.

To answer support requests.

To keep BrainPip safe and fair, for example by detecting cheating.

To fix bugs and improve games, using anonymous usage data if you allow it.

To show ads on the free plan: at most one a day, after a finished workout, never during a game and never with BrainPip Plus.

Age requirement

BrainPip is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we delete the account and its data. If you think a child is using BrainPip, email technamah.info@gmail.com.

Ads and your choices

The free plan shows ads from Google AdMob. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area and the UK), Google's consent form asks for your choice before any ad, and you can change it later.

Ads are personalized only if you are 18 or over and turn on Settings → Privacy and data → Personalized ads, which starts off. Otherwise ads are based only on the app and your approximate location.

On iPhone, after their first ad, adults on the free plan see a short explanation and then Apple's tracking prompt. The answer sets Personalized ads; you can also change it in the iPhone's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

If we don't know your age yet, you get Google's child-directed ad settings: only non-personalized ads suitable for all ages, and never the tracking prompt.

How Google uses ad data: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Sharing, invites and ratings

When you share a card (for example your streak or a new best), BrainPip draws the picture on your phone and hands it, with your invite link, to the app you choose. We don't see what you send or who you send it to.

When someone joins with your invite link, we link the two accounts and show them your first name.

If you rate BrainPip, the rating goes to Apple or Google, not to us.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run BrainPip, under contracts that limit their use of it: Google Firebase and Google Cloud (hosting, database, sign-in, crash reports and analytics), Amazon Web Services (sending emails), RevenueCat (subscription status), Apple and Google (app stores and sign-in), xAI (AI tutor explanations; we send the question and your answer, not your name or email), and Google AdMob (ads and the consent form on the free plan; see "Ads and your choices"). Other players see only your rank board name, initials, points and top skills, and only if you join the challenge. We share data with authorities only where the law requires it.

Where it's stored

Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers in Mumbai, India. Some providers may process it in other countries, with safeguards required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account we delete your profile and training data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as purchase and prize records. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes and are deleted within a day. AI tutor chats are deleted after 30 days unless you save them.

Your rights

You can access, correct, download or delete your data, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to exercise your rights if you can't. Most of this is in Settings → Privacy and data; for anything else email technamah.info@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to people who need it, sign-in codes are stored only as secure hashes, and our servers check every score. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in details private.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
